I'm Captain Bruce Pollock of Edge Charters. I have been fishing the waters off The Florida Keys for over 20 years and have been a Licensed and Insured Captain for more than half those years. I am originally from western New York where I owned my own business but always felt like something was missing. Then, after a few visits to the Florida Keys I realized what was missing and knew it was time to make the big move south! So I closed up shop and headed south to start my new life as one of the upper Florida Keys Fishing Guides. During my first five years residing in Islamorada I spent nearly every day on the water learning the backcountry, the flats, the tides and the moons. One thing that sets Edge Charters apart is that I also spent a great deal of time picking the brains of the original Florida Keys Fishing Guides. I soon learned that though there are no guarantees in fishing. It's not an exact science like some would like you to believe! If there was it would be called catching! But I do know there is always something down there willing to bend your rod over and give you a rush here in The Keys. One of our key elements to being one of the sought after Florida Keys Fishing Guides is realizing that we’re not only in the fishing business we are in the people business. I feel a good guide should enjoy helping others catch fish as much as the guide himself does. When I’m not fishing with you I'm out there trying new techniques and ideas to be able to give you, the angler, the optimal experience when you’re on an Edge Charter. Our goal is to assure you that you and your party have a great time out on the water! Regardless if we are way back in the Everglades, near shore on the flats or dropping for Yellowtail just offshore it’s all about you and your day of fishing.
