Florida Keys Fishing Report 10/19/08:
Well
it's still rainy and blowing this week, 15-25 mph some days. We
only had 2 good days to fish this week, it got messy out there
with the choppy water.
There is a lot of fresh water spilling into Florida Bay right
now, overflow from Lake Okeechobee, causing the Snook
and Redfish
to be few and far between. (We found them, though.) A few of each
in the back around the Flamingo area, but it sure wasn’t
as good as it has been. We also found plenty of ladyfish and some
Trout around Palm key and Dump Key. The Spanish Mackerel have
been good, and will be better when the wind lay’s down,
allowing more guys to get out in the Gulf.
